Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1999. Moved to Hawaii at the age of nine.
Attended Sacred Hearts Academy, Hawaii's largest and most prestigious girls' school, from elementary school through high school.
Devoted herself to canoeing for four years of high school.
Currently a bilingual college student attending UH Manoa and Leeward Community College.
